At the start, the whole floor of the apartment was damaged. There were large and small cracks in different spots. The flooring tiles of the kitchen and bathrooms were bent due to moisture. Balcony floors were completely faded. The outdoor floor was uneven and worn out with several holes. After we installed the wooden floors, the old apartment looked refreshed and aesthetic. The client contacted us after reviewing our latest flooring projects in JBR. He shared his design requirements for different parts of apartments. We also decided on the day of the meeting.

Our experts visited the apartment at the designated time and analyzed the flooring condition keenly. They also measured the whole floor of the apartment for accurately sized flooring.

We prepared the contract after discussing every detail, including wood material, designs, textures, and customizations. Then we finalized the budget and signed the contract.

Flooring Installation

Our installers cleaned and leveled the surface and prepared the subfloor. They acclimated the wooden planks for 3 days and installed them with the glue-down method precisely.

Key Challenges & Solutions

Challenges

The extreme outdoor heat and indoor humidity due to sea air caused the wood planks to expand and crack during installation.

The old concrete floor was very damaged and uneven. Fitting wooden planks on the same floor will result in joint separation and hollow sounds

The walls of the whole apartment contained plastic wallpapers, and there were no baseboards in any room.

Solutions

Instead of solid wood, we use engineered wooden floors and acclimate them for 72 hours with AC running at 21°C and 24°C.

Our experts used a specialized heavy-duty diamond grinder on the concrete slabs and used the self-leveling method to prepare an even subfloor.

Our experts first covered the walls with protective sheets and then installed wooden planks precisely without damaging the wallpaper.
